Coupon binder that saved me $60, then exploded in the rain

I keep a big coupon binder in my trunk for quick stops at Market Basket in Nashua. Last Tuesday it poured and my sunroof leaked right on the bag, the whole thing was soaked through. About 40 of my best coupons turned into a wet mess, most were for stuff I actually use like toilet paper and cat food. I sat in the parking lot peeling pages apart and trying to save what I could, only salvaged maybe 10. The store manager let me use a few that were still readable, but I lost like $60 in savings. Has anyone else had a coupon disaster like this, or do you keep yours inside your house now?
