A woman at the Concord flea market told me my booth was "too neat" and she was onto something
I used to set up at the Concord flea market every other Saturday with everything lined up in tidy rows on folding tables, and I honestly thought that looked professional. About two months ago a lady poking through my box of old kitchen stuff said flat out, "Honey, this looks like a store, not a yard sale," and walked off without buying anything. So the next weekend I dumped it all in milk crates and let people dig, and I sold $87 more than my usual $40-ish haul, mostly because folks felt like they were finding something. Turns out a little mess reads as a deal around here, so now I only half organize the good stuff. Has anyone else noticed that the messier booths at these markets pull more people in?
