Rant: The Sears anchor at Northgate Mall in Chattanooga has been dark for 2 years and nobody cares
Walked through Northgate Mall in Chattanooga three days ago and the whole east wing is a ghost town. The Sears closed back in 2023 and the hallway lights past it are half burned out, maybe 6 stores still open in that stretch. Only thing keeping it alive is the food court and a barber shop. Does anyone know if the city has a plan for these dead anchors or do they just sit there?
