A $12 flashlight made me see every dead mall shoot completely differently
I bought a cheap 3 mode LED flashlight off the clearance rack at a hardware store in Fort Wayne last spring and it turned me into that weirdo who shoots empty mall corridors with a beam of light instead of a flash. First time I tried it at the dying Sears wing in Glenbrook, the light raked across the dust and dead escalators and made the shot look like something out of a movie instead of a blurry phone dump. The burned part? One of those cheap lights died on me mid shoot after like 4 trips and I had to finish the set holding my phone screen up like a dope. So, is anyone else lighting their mall shots by hand, and what are you using that doesn't fry itself after a few trips?
