Rant: I ignored a $12 pocket screwdriver for 6 months and I was the problem
Last October my Victorinox toothpick snapped off inside the scale on a Tuesday morning and I couldn't get it out with a paper clip, my thumbnail, or the tip of my car key. I dug at that thing off and on for three days, probably a solid 90 minutes total, before I gave up and just carried the knife with a hole in the side. A regular at my shop who works maintenance downtown saw me picking at it and said, why not just run a small flathead down the channel, takes two seconds. I bought a $12 mini screwdriver set that afternoon and had the toothpick out in about four seconds flat, which honestly stung a little. Six months of a busted scale because I thought a tiny driver was dead weight in my pocket. Now it lives on my keyring and I've used it on cabinet hinges, glasses screws, and a stuck seatbelt buckle twice. Anybody else carry a tiny driver and actually use it, or am I just late to the party?
