TIL my password manager was storing duplicates for 4 years
I was cleaning up my vault yesterday and found 40 duplicate entries for the same sites, all from when I used to manually save passwords instead of letting it autofill. Has anyone else had to do a massive vault cleanup after realizing you've been hoarding useless copies?

Well actually password managers are supposed to store duplicates when you manually save a password for the same site again. That's not really a bug or hoarding, it's just the program doing what you told it to do each time you hit save. I went through this myself a couple years back and realized the duplicates were all my own doing from clicking "save password" on sites where I already had one stored. It's more of a user error than anything wrong with the software if you ask me. Most vaults have a duplicate finder tool now to clean that up easily.

Wait, 40 duplicates? I had maybe 8 or 9 in mine and honestly just ignored them for like six months before I finally deleted them. That's a whole other level of hoarding, man.
