Switched from LastPass to Bitwarden after a close call
I used LastPass for like 3 years but after that breach news I got nervous. Moved everything to Bitwarden last month and honestly the free tier does way more than I expected. The autofill works better on my phone too. Anyone else jump ship after a certain breach?

Ha, I was the opposite for a while. I kept telling myself the LastPass breach was overblown and my vault was probably fine. But after seeing so many people switch and reading more into it, I finally caved and moved over to Bitwarden last week. Honestly, the autofill on my Android is way snappier than it ever was on LastPass. Kinda wish I did it sooner.

Look, I get people are freaked out, but is it really THAT serious? LastPass had a breach of their DEV environment, not a direct dump of everyone's vault. The actual encrypted data is still pretty useless to anyone without your master password. Unless you picked something dumb like "password123," you're probably fine. Bitwarden's fine and all, but acting like you dodged a bullet by leaving LastPass feels a little dramatic. The autofill thing might just be a placebo effect, you know?

Did you notice any difference with the autofill on desktop too? I had a similar thing when I switched password managers a couple years ago, but I went from Bitwarden to Proton Pass. That was a whole different headache since Proton's stuff is still pretty new. My vault transfer got messed up and I lost like 10 logins. Had to reset half my accounts. Manually typing in passwords for a week was a pain.
