Shoutout to the $0 trick that caught a fake caller trying to be my bank

Got a call last Tuesday from someone saying they were my bank and my debit card was flagged. The number on my phone even looked close to the real one, so I almost bought it. Instead of answering their questions, I hung up and called the number on the back of my actual card. Took 4 minutes to confirm it was fake and no money moved. My tip is to always hang up and dial the real number yourself, never trust the one that called you. Has anyone else had a close call like this where the caller ID looked legit?
