Password manager changed my life after my email got hit in a breach

Back in March I found out my email was in a data dump from some random forum I used in 2019. I had reused that password everywhere, bank, work, all of it. Panicked for a weekend, then finally set up a password manager with a random generator. Took me about 6 hours to go through every account and swap them out. Now I don't even know my own passwords, which sounds scary but honestly feels great. The two-factor app was annoying at first but now it's muscle memory. Has anyone else dealt with the cleanup process after a breach? How do you handle the accounts you don't use anymore?

Went through the exact same thing two years back when my old gaming account got popped. I found the whole password manager thing way easier than I thought it would be, even for the old junk accounts. For the ones I dont use anymore, I just log in, change the password to some random garbage, then delete the account if the site lets me. If they dont have a delete option, I leave a burner email on file and nuke the saved password from my manager so I can never get back in anyway. The cleanup felt like a slog at first but once it was done I slept way better at night. Also turned on that two-factor stuff for my main email and bank, which was a game changer.
