Just realized I was setting up my home network all wrong for years

I was helping my nephew with his laptop last month and he asked why my Wi-Fi had such an old security type. I was still using WPA2 Personal, which I set up back in 2018, and never thought to change it. It hit me that I hadn't even looked at my router settings since I first plugged it in. I've now switched to WPA3 and feel way better about it. Has anyone else had a moment like this with their own home setup?

My old router was still on the default admin password for like five years. I finally logged in last year and saw a list of a dozen devices I didn't even own that had tried to connect. Updating that stuff feels like changing the locks on your front door, you just gotta do it.

I used to think it was fine to just set it and forget it.
