Heard a guy at the coffee shop telling his friend his password was 'password123'

I was grabbing a latte at Brews & Bytes downtown last Tuesday when this dude loudly tells his buddy his bank login is 'password123' because he 'remembers it easy'. Couldn't help but think about how many people actually do that stuff. Anyone else ever overhear someone giving away their own security like that?

@great username @adam675 but yeah I woulda said something too if I wasnt so busy facepalming into my latte. I mean who even uses 'password123' in 2024? That's like leaving your front door wide open with a sign that says 'free stuff inside please take'. My own passwords are so paranoid now that half the time I forget them and have to reset everything once a month. Its getting to the point where I'm writing them down on sticky notes which is basically the same dumb move just on paper. So yeah no room to judge when my own security is held together with tape and hope.

Man that's rough, I once sat next to a guy on the bus who literally said his email password out loud to his friend while I was right there. Some people just don't think twice about who's listening. Did you end up saying anything to the guy at the coffee shop?
