Debate: Should you use a password manager or just memorize your passwords?

I went with a password manager after my buddy got hacked using the same password for everything, but now I'm paranoid about one breach taking down all my accounts, what do you all think is safer?

Bitwarden user here, been at it for about 2 years now. The key is picking a master password that's a sentence you can remember, not some random jumble you'll forget by lunch. Enable 2FA on the manager itself and that basically kills the whole "one breach takes everything" worry since they'd need both your password and your phone. Most of the big ones like Bitwarden and 1Password also have zero-knowledge architecture so even if they got hacked your vault is still encrypted locally. Just stay away from browser-based managers like Chrome's built-in one since those have had some sketchy breaches lately.
