A guy at the Seattle library told me to ditch my master password for a passphrase, and I finally tried it
I figured 12 random characters was fine, but he said length beats weird symbols, so I switched to four plain words and it's honestly way easier to type on my phone. My old password was on 3 breach lists without me knowing, which I found out from haveibeenpwned.com. Has anyone else made the switch, or am I late to this?
Yeah I made the switch about six months ago and never looked back. Four random words stuck in my head way better than some jumble of letters and numbers I had to reset every other week. Typing it on my phone used to be a nightmare with all the caps and symbols, now it just flows. Also found out two of my old ones were in breaches, which freaked me out. Length really does win, no contest.
