Why does nobody warn you that prompt books are mostly filler

I dropped $45 on a 365 creative writing prompt book at a Barnes & Noble in Chicago and maybe 40 prompts were worth using. The rest were stuff like "write about a door" with no angle, no twist, nothing to push against. What's your go to source for prompts that actually make you write something instead of staring at the page?
