Shelled out $40 for a "premium" writing prompt generator app and got junk

I bought this app last month that promised endless unique prompts for fiction writers. It gave me stuff like "a dog finds a key" with zero extra detail or twist. After 3 tries I realized I could get better prompts for free just scrolling this subreddit. Anyone else fall for a paid tool that was basically a waste of money?

That "a dog finds a key" prompt is honestly insulting for forty bucks. What kind of premium generator gives you something a six year old could come up with? Did the app at least let you tweak the genre or tone before it spit that out, or was it just a random junk drawer of ideas?

Ugh, that stings. Getting a blank check for forty bucks and then getting "a dog finds a key" is the worst, I'd be so annoyed. You're definitely not alone in getting burned by a so-called premium tool that's just a scam.
