Rant: I spent $60 on a 'premium' prompt generator subscription last month
It was this fancy website that promised unique, high-concept ideas. I got maybe three decent prompts out of it before it just started recycling the same basic 'what if' scenarios. The final straw was getting a prompt about a sentient toaster twice in one week. Has anyone found a better, free source for actually fresh ideas?

Wait, sixty bucks for a sentient toaster prompt twice? That's wild lol. I'd be so mad if I paid for that. Honestly just browsing free writing subreddits has given me better stuff lately.

Ouch, that's brutal. A sentient toaster is a fun gag for a free writing exercise, but not as a paid product's main output. When you say it recycled ideas, were they just changing small details, like "sentient toaster" to "lonely microwave," or was it the exact same prompt text? I'm trying to figure out how lazy the service got.

Christopherross has a point about checking how lazy the service was. The bigger issue is paying for any idea generator at all. Those things are just fancy randomizers. You're better off taking a walk and letting your own brain make weird connections for free. That sentient toaster probably came from some overused database they all share. Save your money and trust your own weird thoughts.
