Found a prompt generator stat that made me rethink how I write hooks
I was reading through a writing blog last week and it said something like 80% of people who try a prompt quit after the first paragraph. That number stuck with me because I do it all the time. So now I set a 10 minute timer and tell myself I'm not allowed to judge the writing until it goes off. The timer trick got me through three short stories this month, which is 3 more than last month. Anyone else use time limits to keep from bailing on a prompt too early?
