The Tuesday I picked a porta potty over the load and nobody noticed
Last Tuesday at a job site in Reno I spent 20 minutes rigging a steel beam in 30 mph gusts while the foreman waved me off every time I swung. Turns out the wind was blowing so hard my load line was drifting 4 feet off plumb and I couldn't feel it through the seat. I finally set the beam, climbed down, and found out the whole crew had been betting on whether I'd clip the porta potty that sat right under my swing path. I missed it by maybe a foot, and the ground guy still owes me a coffee from the bet he lost. Any of you ever finish a pick and only later realize how close you came to something dumb?
