I always picked my boom angle off the main boom line and wondered why the 40 foot radius numbers never made sense on the chart, until Dave at the Tulsa yard pointed out I should be reading the tip height axis for the jib configuration I was actually running, and now I'm questioning how many picks I made way harder than they needed to be.
