Old timer warned me not to grease my boom daily on a Liebherr LTM, I didn't listen and ended up with a seal blowout on site in Houston last Tuesday

Probably grease should only go in every few days anyway.

My buddy runs a machine shop and he only greases his mill spindle once a month on a low speed unit that runs 8 hours a day. Never had an issue in 10 years. I think @paige_ellis59 is on the right track here, people act like missing a grease day will blow the whole machine up. A few days either way isnt going to make a difference unless you are running it red hot nonstop.
