Nearly dropped a 10 ton beam at a site in Austin last Tuesday
I was lifting a steel beam at a new condo project near downtown. My remote started acting up about 20 feet up - the left jog was sticking. If I hadn't caught it and set the load down fast, that beam would've swung right into the rebar crew. We shut the whole job down for an hour while I swapped batteries and checked the receiver. Anybody else had remotes fail mid-lift on a hot day?

Disagree - batteries dying in heat is normal, just check your gear before the lift.
