Just realized I wasted over $800 on a 'universal' remote control system for my old truck crane back in 2015.

Check if the company still exists and has any upgrade program. Sometimes they'll give you a discount on a newer model if you send in the old brain box. I had to do that with a 2013 system, got about 30% off the new one.
