Had a 200-ton lift over a live rail line in Chicago go perfectly smooth
We were setting a big HVAC unit on a downtown roof, and the only spot for the crane was across active train tracks. The railroad gave us a 90-minute window to get the rig in, make the pick, and clear out. My signal guy and I walked the plan twice, and the whole crew was locked in. The lift itself took maybe 20 minutes, and we were packed up with time to spare. Anyone else had a tight coordination job like that just click?

Nice! That's the best feeling when a plan comes together under pressure. In my experience, those tight windows force everyone to be sharp and communicate perfectly. Sounds like your crew nailed it.

90 minutes over live tracks is insane. That's zero room for any kind of mistake or delay. Huge props to your crew for pulling that off.

Yeah, walking the plan is key. Makes you think about every single step before you're on the clock.
