Vent: buyer asked to see my license plate before paying for a $60 table, and now I cover it up
Sold a dining table on the local list in Fort Wayne a while back, and the guy asked me to send a photo with my whole car in it plus the plate, "just to confirm pick up." I sent it like an idiot, and a week later a neighbor asked why people were calling her about a table she never had, because her number showed up on a repost of my ad with my plate in the shot. Nothing bad happened past some weird calls, but I changed how I do it now. I only send pics of the item on a plain wall, no car, no house numbers, and I cover the plate with tape in any shot that catches it. Pickup happens in a store lot on Coliseum, and I text the spot only after they say they are parked. What do you all blur or crop out of your photos before you post them?
