Update: I started tracking my no-shows on Facebook Marketplace and hit 7 in a row last month
I keep a note on my phone now. Every person who says they are coming and never shows gets a tally. Last month in Reno I hit 7 no-shows in one week, which beat my old record of 5. What helped was switching to porch pickup with cash in a lockbox. Now I only meet people for stuff over $100. Anyone else keep a list like this or am I just bitter?

What kind of stuff are you selling that you're getting that many no-shows in a single week? In my experience it depends a lot on the category, like furniture and free items bring out the flakiest people, while car parts or tools tend to get serious buyers. Seven in one week sounds brutal though, even for the free section. Do you think the lockbox cut down the flaking because people don't have to actually face you, or did it just filter out the tire kickers who were never gonna show anyway? Also curious if you make them confirm a time window before you give out the address, because that one trick alone cut my no-shows by half. Not saying you're bitter, keeping a tally just sounds like you're paying attention.
