That $70 trail cam I bought for my porch changed my mind on security cams. I used to think those doorbell cameras were pointless, but after someone swiped packages off my stoop three times in one month in Columbus, I grabbed a cheap trail cam from a guy on Craigslist. Set it up hidden in the shrub, caught my neighbor's kid red-handed on a Tuesday at 4:15 pm. Cost me $70 and the footage got my packages back plus a free apology from his mom.
