Am I the only one who thinks the "sketchy" no-show seller was actually just a decent guy?
About 6 months ago I drove out to a storage unit in Mesa to buy a used window AC unit listed for $40. The guy kept pushing the meet time and I was sure I was about to get robbed or scammed. When I got there he was just some tired dad dealing with a crying kid in the car, and he knocked $10 off because the cord had a small nick I didn't even notice until he pointed it out. I keep seeing posts where everyone says trust your gut and bail at the first weird vibe, but here the weird vibe was just a guy having a bad day. I plugged that AC in at home and it's been running fine in my garage for two summers now. So what's the actual line between a red flag and a person who's just disorganized? I want to hear from people who stuck it out and got burned, or the other way around.
