Tried selling my candles at a flea booth vs online, the booth won by a mile
I do soy candles in my kitchen, maybe 40 a batch, and last spring I got a booth at the Tri-County flea market for $25 a Saturday. Online I was listing on two sites and moved about 6 candles a month, but at the booth I sold 31 in one day and people kept asking for custom scents. The big thing was folks could smell them, so they trusted what they were buying, and I didn't have to pay for shipping boxes or deal with a package getting lost. I kept the booth and dropped one of the online shops, way less time packing stuff at midnight. Has anyone else had luck with a local market before going all in online?
