Tried selling at a flea market for one weekend, now I get it

I've been making candles from my kitchen for about 8 months and figured Etsy was the only way to go, but a friend begged me to share her booth at the local flea market in Boise last Saturday. I sold 43 candles in 6 hours, which is more than I did in my last 3 months online combined. The big surprise was how many people wanted to smell everything and hear my whole process, something you never get with a listing. I'm renting my own spot next month, but I'm curious if anyone else found in-person sales way faster than online for their handmade stuff?

People have always trusted buying stuff face to face, some things just click better in person.
