Thought batch baking was a time saver, but it just made me hate my kitchen for 3 days straight

I spent last Sunday cranking out 4 dozen cookies and 2 loaves of banana bread to stock up. Figured I'd be set for the week. By Tuesday I was looking at those cookies and feeling sick. Now I have this giant Tupperware of bread nobody wants. Is this just me or does anyone else hit a wall with batch cooking?

You freeze the bread? Banana bread freezes like a dream, just wrap it tight. Four dozen cookies in one day sounds like you were running a bakery. Did you actually eat any of them fresh or did you just shove them all in containers right away?

Who actually has the willpower to bake four dozen cookies and not eat a single one while they're still warm? @gavinp44, you're asking the real question here. I've never frozen banana bread, but now I'm wondering why I haven't, since it always goes bad before I can finish it. And yeah, that cookie marathon sounds like a serious operation, like they were prepping for a holiday party or something. I bet they snuck a few off the cooling rack when nobody was looking, because who wouldn't? Honestly, if I baked that many, the container would be half empty before it even got sealed up.
