That $300 candle making kit was a total bust
I jumped into candle making back in March because I saw all these cute videos online and thought it would be easy money. Bought a full starter kit with a big melter, wax, wicks, and fragrance oils for about $300. Turned out the wax I got was too soft for the jars they included, so everything came out lumpy and ugly. After 5 batches and maybe 20 candles, I gave up and sold the melter for $40 on Facebook. I wish someone had told me to just start with a $20 pour pot and one pound of soy wax to test the waters first. Has anyone else wasted cash on a hobby bundle that looked great but was trash?
