Rant: The $120 cake stand I ordered was a total waste

I bought this fancy rotating cake stand from a small Etsy shop for my home baking side gig. After two uses the top separated from the base and it's basically unusable now. Should have just got the $25 plastic one at Michaels. Has anyone else had bad luck with overpriced baking tools?

Etsy shops selling fancy baking gear are a total GAMBLE. That $120 price tag should have meant good quality, not a part falling off after two uses. Never buying a "small business" kitchen tool without seeing lots of reviews again.

Went through three cheap rolling pins before learning the lesson the hard way myself. Guess I'll stick to burning cookies instead of burning cash on gear.
