My grandma's old recipe box beat every app I tried for pricing
I spent last fall chasing fancy spreadsheet templates for my soap batches, but my grandma's handwritten card system from her 1970s bakery in Erie still wins for tracking material costs. Anyone else find old school methods just work better for the numbers side of a home business?

Did you ever actually try a spreadsheet, or just look at one? Because a few basic formulas and you can update a price in seconds instead of flipping through a box of cards every time your supplier changes costs.
