My aunt said I should sell my jam at the farmer's market instead of online, and she was totally right
I started making strawberry jam in my kitchen back in March and listed jars on Etsy for $8 each. My aunt Carol, who ran a pie stand in Lawrence, Kansas for years, said online was a waste of time and I should get a $20 table at the Saturday farmer's market instead. I ignored her for two weekends because I thought internet shoppers would find me, but I sold exactly 3 jars total. Then I paid the $20 booth fee, set up at 7am, and sold out all 40 jars in two hours at $9 each. Has anyone else found that in-person sales beat online for food stuff, or is it just my town?
