Bulk yarn deal looked scammy, but it got me through 3 craft fairs
I found a pallet of yarn on an auction site for $200 and figured it was a trap, like half the boxes would be shredded or full of stains. But I took a chance because my Margate booth was selling out of scarves faster than I could knit. Turns out it was a legit overstock from a shop that closed, 80% acrylic and 20% wool blends, all brand new. That one pallet let me price my goods 15% lower than my rival at the boardwalk, and I still made $1,100 profit across three weekends. Now I am checking liquidation listings every month, but I also got burned once on a 'bulk' lot that had bugs in the bags. Anyone else gamble on weird supply deals and hit or miss like this?

That pallet deal sounds like luck, not a smart plan.

That same luck shows up everywhere if you look, like how garage sale finds always favor the early birds or stock deals hit right after everyone gives up. I've seen it enough times to know it ain't pure chance, there's a method to showing up when others won't bother. @barbaraw16, the real pattern is most people miss the good stuff cause they're waiting for a guarantee that never comes.
