The USB drive I found at a bus stop last Tuesday had a file that matched a missing persons case from 2017
It was just a random forgotten drive on a bench near the downtown terminal, but when I plugged it in at home, there were 3 photos of a woman who was reportedly last seen in that same neighborhood 6 years ago, so has anyone else ever stumbled onto something that felt way too specific to ignore?

Did you check if the photo metadata has GPS coordinates? Could be the camera logged the exact location where those pics were taken, which might line up with where she was last seen.

The odds of someone leaving GPS data in photos they post online are pretty low these days, most apps strip that out before uploading. Plus even if there is geotag info from a few hours earlier, that doesn't really prove anything about where she actually vanished.
