The Denver Airport murals looked normal in 2015 but something shifted by 2020

I went to Denver International back in 2015 and the murals were just weird art to me. Fast forward to 2020 after the airport renovations, and those same paintings seemed darker and more symbolic. Some people say nothing changed and I just noticed details, others claim the airport added new imagery. Has anyone else compared old photos to recent ones or am I seeing things?

I compared photos from 2014 and 2021 side by side last year, and the difference is mostly in your brain. The murals didn't get new paint, but the lighting changed a ton after the renovation, and that shifts how the shadows hit the faces and the animals. Plus you're looking at them with fresh eyes, so the stuff you ignored before, like the dead horse and the soldier, suddenly jumps out because of everything happening in the world. I did the same thing with the Denver Art Museum's weird statues, once I read about the symbolism I couldn't unsee it. The real trick is to go back with an old photo printed out, stand in the same spot, and check if the frames match up. That killed my conspiracy theory real fast.

I barely remember where I parked my car half the time, let alone printing out a photo from 2014 to do a full art forensics job. But damn, if that actually killed your theory, then maybe that's the only real way to settle this whole thing.
