Rant: I asked 5 people in a Facebook group for proof of a flat earth and got 4 videos and 1 guy calling me a sheep
So last week I got sucked into a debate in a local Facebook group about the flat earth thing. I figured the fastest way to settle it was to just ask for one piece of hard proof, like a measurement or a photo anyone could go check themselves. I got 4 YouTube links, one guy told me I was a sheep, and one lady sent me a 40 minute video of a guy filming a puddle. Then I tried a different move. I asked everyone in the thread to name one experiment I could run in my own backyard for under 20 bucks that would prove it. Crickets. Not one single person could give me a real test. That told me more than any of the videos did, because if the idea were solid you'd think at least one person would have a simple test ready. So now when someone hits me with a big claim I just ask for the cheap backyard test. Has anyone else tried that line and actually gotten a real answer back?
