Pro tip: Double-check your dates before arguing about historical conspiracies
In my experience, I once cited the wrong year for an event during a 9/11 debate. It made my whole argument look silly and the other side jumped on it. What's your go-to method for keeping dates straight in heated discussions?

Honestly, how do you deal with someone questioning your sources on the spot? Tbh, even with a cheat sheet, I've had folks doubt where my facts come from. Ngl, it makes me think saving quick links might be better than just dates.

Honestly though, is getting a date wrong in some online argument that big of a deal? It feels like people treat these history talks like life or death. At the end of the day, nobody's mind gets changed, and we all just get more mad. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather save the brain space for stuff that actually affects my life. Keeping a list on your phone is smart if you care, I guess, but how often does it really matter?

After citing the wrong year like you mentioned, I started keeping a quick date list on my phone. It helps me verify facts right in the middle of a heated talk so I stay on solid ground. Really, just having that cheat sheet stops me from making those silly mistakes.
