Parked my car near a fire hydrant in Austin last Tuesday and came back to a $75 ticket I genuinely didn't see coming

The hydrant was behind a massive overgrown bush and I swear the sign was facing the other way, has anyone else fought a parking ticket over something like this and actually won?

Did your friend take photos of the bush blocking the sign? My buddy took pics of the overgrown ivy covering his parking spot in Dallas and got the ticket thrown out.

Man, that bush must have been doing some serious overtime hiding that hydrant. I'm picturing it like one of those Jurassic Park ferns just swallowing the whole thing whole. But yeah, Mary's buddy got the right idea. Take photos of that overgrown mess from every angle, maybe even a selfie with the bush to prove you're not lying. If the sign was literally facing the wrong way, that's just the city setting you up for failure. Honestly at this point I'd try to fight it just out of spite, the worst they can do is laugh at you and make you pay anyway.
