My visit to the Denver airport made me rethink everything about flight tracking

I was stuck at gate B-17 for 6 hours during that snowstorm in March... and I swear the arrival board kept changing times for the same flight by 45 minutes every 5 minutes. Like, it would say 7:30, then 8:15, then back to 7:45. No plane ever came to that gate. What do you think causes those wild swings on the boards? Has anyone else noticed this pattern at a specific airport?

My buddy had the same thing happen at JFK last summer. Said the board showed his flight to Chicago bouncing between delays and cancellations for almost two hours, then it just disappeared entirely. Turns out the gate system was glitching and showing data from a completely different airline.

@jana_ellis95 maybe the glitch was just showing us what the system really thinks of us.
