My truck's GPS took me down a washed out road in rural Ohio last Tuesday

I was running a route to check some mouse complaints near Zanesville and trusted the factory nav instead of my gut. It sent me down this county road that turned into gravel and then mud, and I got stuck for 45 minutes before a farmer with a tractor pulled me out. Cost me $180 for a tow strap repair and I missed two appointments completely. Why do these systems keep pushing dirt paths as shortcuts, has anyone else had a GPS route fail that bad recently?

That farmer probably saved you way more than $180 in hassle, but here's the real question, did the GPS show that road as a solid line or a dotted one? Because my experience is that factory nav units treat any county road as fair game, even the ones that haven't been maintained since the 90s. If it showed a solid line, that's a mapping data problem worth complaining about, if it was dotted, you gotta own that one.
