My brother said the moon landing stuff is just a way to distract from real problems
He argued in our garage last weekend that focusing on old conspiracies lets current power structures operate unchecked. Anyone else find that angle changes the whole debate?

Believe celebrating human achievement can actually help us tackle current problems.

Totally agree that celebrating achievement helps us tackle problems. Seeing what we've done before makes new challenges feel less scary. It gives us a real reason to believe we can fix things.

The Apollo program gave us satellite TV and cordless tools, stuff we use now. It's not a distraction, it's proof we can solve huge problems when we focus. If we used that same drive on climate or energy, we'd see real progress. Dismissing that kind of effort just makes our current problems feel impossible.
