Last week my truck's alternator died at a red light on Recker Rd in Mesa

I was sitting there waiting for the light to change and suddenly all my dash lights flickered and the engine just died. Had to push it into a parking lot, got a ride to AutoZone, and swapped it out in the heat. Anyone else notice how modern alternators seem to fail way more than the old ones from the 90s?

Honestly, those 90s alternators were just built tougher.

Wait, you're saying those were actually built tougher? No way.
