I finally caught onto the 'crisis actor' rabbit hole after a weird detail

I used to just accept any conspiracy video I stumbled across on YouTube, especially the ones claiming disasters were staged. But then last year during that train derailment in Ohio, I watched a clip where a supposed 'victim' was wearing a completely dry, clean shirt after supposedly wading through toxic mud. It got me thinking about how easy it is to edit footage or pull unrelated images online. Has anyone else had that moment where you realized you were being too trusting with what you were watching?

That train derailment clip was a turning point for me too. I started reverse image searching every viral photo after that. Saved me from falling for a dozen fake stories since.

Yeah, did a buddy of mine once fall for a fake photo of a celebrity at a disaster scene, turns out it was from a movie premiere three years before. Ever since, he triple-checks anything that seems too dramatic.
