Finally got my brother to see the flat earth stuff is nonsense
For like 2 years he kept sending me those videos about hidden continents and ice walls. I used to just get mad and argue, which never worked. Last month I started asking him to show me the math for how a plane flies on a disk, and we spent a whole Saturday looking at flight paths. He couldn't find a single pilot who backed it up. Now he's way more skeptical of the sources he watches. What's a conspiracy you managed to talk someone out of?

Read a pilot's blog once where he broke down the fuel math for long flights, completely wrecks the flat earth model.

My cousin was convinced the moon landing was fake because of the flag waving. I asked him if he ever saw a flag on a pole in his own yard on a windy day, does it look like it's in space? He went quiet for a minute. How much time do people spend on this stuff anyway, is it really worth the headache?
