Changed my mind on chemtrails after talking to a pilot at Logan Airport bar
I used to be all in on the chemtrail theory until last month when I grabbed a drink next to a retired Delta pilot. He showed me photos on his phone of the exact same white trails from 1989, and then explained how contrails can spread into those weird grids depending on altitude and humidity. Has anyone else had a real aviation person change their view on this?

What did those pilots have to gain from going along with a government lie?

Plenty of reasons. Those pilots signed up to serve their country, not some conspiracy. They get steady pay, benefits, respect, and a career they're proud of. Lying about something that big would risk their pension, their security clearance, and possibly end up in jail. I mean, look at guys like Jesse Ventura, he was a Navy SEAL and calls out BS all the time, but he's got nothing to hide because he actually did his duty. What's the actual payout for keeping quiet about a lie that big? There isn't one that makes sense.
