Went from finishing concrete with a magnesium float for 10 years to trying a resin float last spring

The resin float left that surface so smooth I didn't need to go back with a trowel on that 300 square foot patio in Nashua, but now I'm wondering if anyone else finds it harder to get a good edge where the forms meet?

Yeah that edge thing is real, had the same issue on a small walkway in Manchester. Hit the forms first with a quick light pass of the resin float and then come back with your magnesium just for the edges, saves the headache.

Hearing you say that changed my mind, @charliehill's buddy would've saved an hour with that trick.

Watched my buddy Bill fight a resin float edge for an hour and finally just gave up and used his magnesium.
