That Phoenix heat must have been brutal for the concrete cure. Honestly, seeing a finish that perfect makes you realize how much skill is in the trades.

Yeah, that dry heat will wreck a slab if you don't plan for it. Had a pour last summer where we started before sunrise and used evaporation retardant on the surface. Keeping the subgrade soaked the night before was the real key, though. Makes all the difference for getting that smooth finish without the cracks.

Starting before sunrise sounds like a special kind of concrete torture. You really soaked the ground the night before, @white.sandra? I guess that's the real trick to beating the heat and getting no cracks.
