Was sure hand finishing beat power trowels, but today's pour proved me wrong.
The power trowel got the surface glassy fast, and I didn't have to kill my back.

Notice how often we stick with the harder way just because it's familiar. You see it with people clinging to old tools or methods long after something better comes along. Makes you wonder what else we're making harder than it needs to be.

Wow, my friend always did hand work until he tried a power trowel on a driveway. Said it came out glassy and his back felt fine after.
